I have been experiencing burning hand and feet for several years now. I ve been to doctors and no one seems to want to give me any solid solution or answers to this problem. I don't have pain or any other symptoms, just the burning. Is there anybody out there with answers?

One of the more common causes of foot and hand numbness, tingling, burning or pain, is Diabetes or Insulin Resistance.

In fact, the first place I look for ANY health problem is diet. A diet too high in calories causes a lot of misery in this world.

How is your diet? How many calories do you think that you consume in an average day, or in an average meal?

jacquie,

Burning hands and feet are symptoms of MS, it is also a symptom of possible disc problem in your neck.

I know this because it was thought that I had MS because I had a burning tingling feeling in my hand along with a burning pain in both feet. My symptoms started with my feet and developed in my left hand and started moving to my right hand. I than started getting a real heavy feeling in my legs.

After extensive testing for MS and ruling out that disorder my neurologist decided to obtain an MRI of my neck and it was found that I had a cervical disc herniation that was compressing into my spinal canal. I had surgery 4 weeks ago. I awoke the next morning and the burning pain was gone from my feet and the burning pain and tingling in my left hand has begun to disappear.

Find a really good neurologist who is willing to really look into the problem and be persistent.

Let me know how you are doing and what part of Florida do you live in? Make sure that you go to a quality hospital done there even if you have to drive a little distance. I lived in Florida for 4 years and believe me, there are some scary doctors and hospitals done there.

It could also be Fibromyalgia. I had burning hands and feet for years, it drove me absolutely crazy until I went to Pain Management and was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I takle Lyrica and Cymbalta and no more burning of hands and feet, thank god!

HI I am Alice12. Are you Diabetic? My husband is and he also experiences these same problems. He had been been diagnosed with sensory peripheral neuropathy which is linked with diabetes. It is a result of damage to nerve endings responsible for sending or receiving information to the brain and extremities. The signals get messed up these symptoms can occur as a result.
