considering just where your burning is located, did they ever think to just MRI your c and t spine areas? the lower c spine and the upper T tend to actually innervate that area, and also down thru your elbows too. just exactly how does this burning run starting from the upper most point on down to the elbows? is it behind the elbow or on the inner side? it would make a difference as far as what nerve innervates around where you are having that burning. if you have never actually had the c and t spine areas loked into with MRI,you really do need to,just to rule this area in or out as a possible culprit.

this could be a neuropathic type of issue you are having caused by certain spinal nerves being affected or even the cord itself(something like large bone spurs or even a herniation). these areas would fit with the areas of your burning, based on what nerves correlate with that burning. i the meantime, just how are they trying to manage your pain? i also have severe burning from spinal cord damage up in my c7- t1 areas(this DOES also affect my shoulder blades too),and i use whats called lidocaine patches? these just help the burning by numbing it. they also make an ointment with the lido too. there are other types of meds like the anti siezure ones that can help too. lyrica helped with mine but becasue of a hypersensitve reaction i had to go off of it. but it was the only med that really made an impact on two seperate pain syndromes that have a very strong burning component to them. i would seriously push for that upper spinal MRI,with a contrasting agent,it just helps in seeing more than without it. that upper spinal area, and given your symptoms and where, just needs to be throughly gone over with an MRI. please keep me posted.
