Bunch of Scammers

I started school today (for my electrical apprenticeship).
A coworker of mine has the canadian electrical code 2002 book.
I was hoping I could buy this from him (and he wanted to sell it to me).
It turns out that the teacher says we need the 2007 canadian electrical code book.
Someone else in the class asked if the 2006 book is okay and the teacher says "no you need 2007".
Later at the end of the day the teacher walks us down to the bookstore as part of our orientation.
When we go in all I could find was the 2006 book, no 2007 books.
I told the teacher all they have is the 2006 and he says "they're all the same you can get that".

 It's all a big money-stealing scam.
Their first priority is to get as many people as possible to buy books, then next priority is making sure you buy from their store. :frusty:

welcome to world of colleges making you buy books from them.

didn't bother at first i would just steal them from the library and then return them at the end of the 2 years by leaving them in an empty class.

libary books are easy to steal - electronic tags.

That sucks!
went through the same thing when I was in uni. The first year I fell for it, and after that I never bought another book again. Just borrowed them from the library (I was too scared to steal them )

Actually it works because there are very low print runs so they charge much more per book. You get that a lot for technical books.

manker and Les probly paid fortunes for their times tables.

Tho' to be fair manker probly paid loads for both his and Les'
