bulging disc causing hip pain?

Does anyone get referred pain from a bulging disc? L-5 I think. My left hip feels fine, then all of a sudden while I am walking it will have a sharp pain, almost as if my hip is going to pop out, and then it will go away, but lately I have to limp it hurts so bad. Does this sound like the pain is from the disc? It feels like a pinch in the front of the hip. It has been happening off and on for at least five years. Gained 50 lbs with baby so now back down to 105 and I think i damaged the disc with the weight gain, and also carrying around a 2 year old while i was pregnant with him. Any thoughts???

These are the exact symptoms I started out with. I believed at the age of 28 I needed a hip replacement. It ended up being my desk had ruptured at L5-S1. The disc fell into my spinal canal and rested on my nerves root. Soon the pain started down my lady and ended in my toes. Find a Dr. or may beef a physical therapist as soon as you can. Good luck. Did you have back pain?? you had hip replacement at that age?? Oh lord. I hope that doesn't happen. I don't have any back pain. And the hip thing has been on and off for 5 years. Wow, scary....thank you for your response.
