Hello all,

A MRI showed that I have a bulging disc, but nothing was mentioned about any kind of nerve problems . Normally there is just pain that has been associated with this. However, in the past a couple of weeks I have started experiencing nurabness and tingling in my butt, legs and arms. I do still have pain in addition to nurabness and tingling. I am currently under pm for the pain. Any ideas why I now have these new issues? Is it possible that I now have nerve damage/issues? I go to the doctor next Tuesday, but I am really concerned. Please help! thanks:dizzy:

pmtest,

If you only have one bulging disc, it is not likely that it would cause nurabness in tingling in both arms and both legs. Have you discussed these symptoms with your primary care physician or pm doctor? Based on your symptoms, the conditions that come to mind would include fibromyalgia or MS, but there are a lot of other possibilities or it could be something very insignificant also. However, I would definitely get it checked out.

Thank you for your thoughts.

I should have mentioned that the mri was done almost a year ago and the nurabness and tingling just started a few weeks ago. Obviously something has changed since that mri due to me having these "new" issues but I was just wondering if its possible for a bulging disc to cause other issues. Like does it get worse over time, leading to nerve problems? I dont know, I just know that my back pain is worse and I now have the nurabness. I do go to the dr on the 26th but I am just concerned. Thanks again for your help.

I'd ask for a new MRI as it seems that there are new issues going on. I had a new symptom I just went on line and searched "Bulging Discs" or DDD which is what I have and researched. Each disc relates to a symptom is I found. Nurabness of the leg, sciatic pain, tingling of the feet and so forth. I'm sorry I can't tell you where to look but use your search engine and you can try imputing you symptom and sift through the results. I spent many hours doing this and learned so much. Knowledge is Power and I think it's important for us to know our bodies and what makes them tick. Good luck on your search
