Built In Mic?

I have a dell inspiron e1405 that I bought new in august of 2006. Im trying to see if I have a built in mic. I went the start menu, programs, accessories, and entertainment. I went to the little recording thing to test it out but Im confused. Im away from home and I dont have any of my computer paperwork to see if I have a built in mic or how to use it. Id like a lot of help lol details I mean. Ill get very confused. Ive been chatting with a friend who is trying to help, but I still dont know if Im doing it right. If you need any more information Ill repost more details. Thank you all so much :)
 
As far as I know, the E1405 doesn't have a built-in mic. It just has a microphone jack into which you can plug in an external microphone.
