Built in IM client setting

I have own a few Nokia phones in the past and most of them came with an IM client.
Does anybody know how to set it up so we can use the IM client with Cingular?
will it work with AIM?

I have tried Agilemessenger but don't really want to pay for it since my phone already came with an IM client.

any ideas?

I was told by someone at the Nokia store in NYC that the built in IM on the E61 will not work with US carriers.

Supposedly, it only works with a client called OZ.
