Hey guys, i am going to build a gaming pc.
Here are the conf. In my mind
processor: E 7400
motherboard: MSI Neo F
ram: 4 gb transkend 800
gpu: sapphire ati radeon 4870 1 gb
smps: 500w 2x6pin
monitor: benq t2200
case: have not decided yet

please tell me if some changes are neccessary. Also upto what limit my processor can be overclocked. And will i be able to play all the games with max settings. Is there any other card less than $200 which performs bettes than 4870.

all the first stuff i don't know but i do know that your not going to find a card for less then 200

The BFG Geforce 9800 GTX+ will blow away that card and it costs $170 as of right now.

Get an nVidia card as they are better for gaming and also get a better heatsink if you want to overclock a CPU. Also know that you need a 64bit OS to use all 4GB of RAM. Otherwise it will go to waste. Don't tell me about PAE because the extra coding just slows it down anyways. Get a 64bit OS.

For under $200 you would be lucky to play any newer game on all high settings. Crysis requires you to spend everything you own to have high settings.
