Much loved 1989 Buick Century Custom wagon has blown one or two head gaskets and valve covers. Please help me decide to either fix it or get some other used vehicle. There isn't much to spend and I have been taken by mechanics before; $488 to change plugs and wires because it didn't need coil packs which I didn't ask for. Anyway, I'm concerned that the radiator and or catalytic converter will have been affected. If the block is cracked do I get a new engine? The car does have other problems; no AC, gas gage. So, what do you think?
