Bug Bite or allergic reaction?

Hi everyone.

My daughter showed me a shiney bump that she has under her right eye, in the sinus area. About the size of a dime that is raised. She says that it doesn't itch and I can't really see where anything may have bitten her but I don't trust my eyesight to see something that small. She said that she ate some kind of strawberry creme cake that she has never eaten and I am wondering if that bump could be a reaction to something she ate? Any ideas on this one?

Ok, since I have never had a reaction such as this, could you tell me what a hive can look like and how long does yours last? I would say hers could have been a welt but it was round and on her face. If she had a reaction to something she ate, could she have only gotten one welt and on her face? If so, does that mean that it could have gone to her brain since it was right under the eye area? She has eaten strawberries before and had no problem and like I said, this was a strawberry cream cake roll thing. That's really the only thing it could have been if it were food related. I looked at it today and it seems to have gone down quite a bit and not as raised but still can see something there. Thanks again.
