jake. The H-2 is fun to ride arround it's NOT like the new bikes. I like the looks it gets with the blue smoke that comes out the chambers when you hit the pipe.And OHHHHH that sound. If you think the Harley's viberate you got another thing coming...I like riding the old bike because they will tell you when you are going to fast, they will talk to you. I like to ride it down MAIN ST. in Daytona during Bike Week and rap in up with all the smoke that covers them die hard Harley bikers...

I rode an 1125R once and had the strangest experience.
I'd pick lines through mountain curves home and it felt like someone reached up and put a hand on one bar in an effort to change my line! So I pull over and check everything to see if a cable is too short or something. Nothing. Get back on and continue with the same weirdness. I could not get away from that bike fast enough. It was not a crashed bike as far as I know.

The the 1098 Is definatly easier to ride fast . But the 1125R will get you a faster lap time because of race geometry/ frame. Easiest and fastest arnt always synonimus. I could never see why Buell didnt install a GPR stabilzer on the bike stock with the steep rake and short wheelbase . gives you the best of both worlds .... Thats why he calmed down the XB chassis . it is even MORE race oriented ... best handling bike youcan get but also a hard bike to ride fast because of it .
 
JONNY The 1125R for 2011 you have heard about that was in delelopement , that was supposed to be the fastest twin on the market , Penske shocks ect GUESSS how close it was to being done?

hell it even looks pretty good (comparitivly)...H-D screwed Buell
Sales where up , making money , getting recognition
H-D was pissed it wasnt chromed
 
Hey Jake, yeah, i'm in chester county...Unionville Pa, out in horse country...thats what i'm usually doing when i'm not riding the iron horses, i'm riding my horses...something my ex had gotten me into...

I had some real sweet tix for this past labor day AMA superbike championships at NJMP...had a chance to meet and shoot the shit with Mr. B and saw the 2010 1125RR...spent lots of time down by the pits talking to the Eslicks pit crew as well as the rest of the other riders...

When speaking with Eric, the RR was to crank out about 170 hp/85 ft lbs of torque...comp ratio was at 14+, and ALL Buell Race parts to mod a stock production 1125R were going to be available through dealers to those who had race licenses...

I was actually looking forwrd in possibly owning one of these, but I guess that wont be happening any time soon...

My buddy did a lot of pic taking during the championships, but he went back home to the other side of the pond and never had a chance to down load/edit any of the pics...I know he's got quite a few pics of Eric and me and the bike...I'll see what I can do and try to post them here...I'm not really good at these types of things, but i'll give it shot...I see what I can do...I know I have some pics, like i said, i not really into the photography thing at races...I enjoy watching races opose to taking pics...

Sorry guys, tried to attach some pics of the Buell race bikes, Buell AMA pace bike and Danny Eslicks race bike, but I'm not savvy enough to format the size of these pics to be able to attach to this forum...I just got lucky with the pic below, just happens to meet the max requirements to attach onto this thread...I'll keep playing with it tomorrow, maybe have to store pics on an alternative site and post a link here for everyone to go to the pics...sorry..
 
Hey Jake, now i'm looking at that yellow bike of yours in that pic...I recognize the tank, swing arm, wheels, rotors, rear pass. foot pegs, frame and donkey ear mirrors...which fairing kit is that? I've seen a few bad generic brands, but yours i dont recognize...American Sport Bike?...Your back tail section looks kinda like a CBR600/1000

Thats real nice...I like it. Almost like something I had in mind...almost the same yellow/black combo as well...
 
Johnny the pic above isnt my bike ... Its a Buell 2011 prototype. 165-170HP at the rear wheel.
From Racing project , I got to know the factory guys . Its a shame the bike never go onto to the market. With power like that and its great handling the magazines would have loved it . Like I said my dream bike would be a Ducati with a Buell chassis . Erik Buell and his team would be a great asset at Ducati .... Just keep them away from the styling dept. lol
 
Saw the above pic of the yellow Buell and the cat in Buell wear as well. I posted it in the "Other Marques" section as to not get the ALDARNELLS and LEFTCOASTTIMS of the world a hissy fit. One thing makes me wonder and I could be WAY off base, but why are they keeping Buell on at HD? Do you wonder if they plan on rebadging that bike and disgustingly calling it a Harley?
