Buell and MV to be gone

That is sad to see if MV gets cut, I could absolutely care two cents about Buell, but MV has so much history and heritage just like Ducati does. I am sure a Euro comp, will pick up MV. but we will see....

I'm kinda disgusted with all the negativity towards buell... a company that went out on the limb to try something different and unique and everybody couldn't give a crap that they are going out of business... its that exact reason why this country has no pride of industry anymore... I mean do I own a buell? no... would I? Hell yeah, if I had enough money to have all the bikes I'd want I'd surely have one in the stable.... I'm very sad to see that they won't be making huge strides in a different direction any longer...

I am all about buying American, I try my hardest to buy products like pitbull for my bikes. But Nothing in buells lineup does it for me at all. I pulled into a Buell/Harley shop on my duc and then once on my bmw, the animosity alone was reason enough.

Like I said I don't have one either... but I totally think buell had something good going... it didn't tickle my fancy either as my primary source of two wheels... BUT now there won't be anybody pushing the envelope in new directions...
Not a personal attack at anybody... just shocked of all the negativity surrounding Buell considering

Fucking Buell. If you want to be so god damn proud of an American company cool, but at least put your energy into an American company. Just cause Buell started in the US, as soon as they merged (1993) and then became full subsidiary of H-D (2003) they lost the right to be called an American company in my definition book. Engines by rotax, frames by Brembo, and the list goes on. Erik is great advocate for the sport, don't get me wrong, and ingenious guy too, but thats where he stopped, and fell way short on the "what to do with money" aspect as a business, just like fucking failing H-D, AGAIN. Tired of their pity us as we're the great American motorcycle company bullshit. Stop buying engineering from Europe, Engines sourced from Porsche designers etc.. fuck them.

Maybe after the death of Buell, there will be a resurrection. It can't happen until the company is completely dissolved according to the owner, H-D. So let the name die, ambers cool off, and find AMERICAN investors willing to go the distance, keep Erik away from financial side of the house (and limits his budget a little better). While this is happening maybe we can sit around watching MotoGP with commercial breaks talking about H-D closing cause thats a mess of a company, and I'm sure their downward trend in financial status will continue over the next two quarters.

Don't have one. Almost bought a 2008 1125, thank God I didn't, fucking bikes have more issues that my 1098 and the 848s put together!

Would I own one? Sure would if I could find the right deal. I doubt I'd ride it much out of fear of it breaking, but would be nice to have sitting as a "last of the breed".
