Bucky O'Hare

Who here remembers the Bucky O'Hare cartoon? I had never even heard of Bucky at all until a couple months ago when I found him while browsing Wikipedia at random. Last week at the St. Vincent dePaul store I found a couple episodes on tape and bought them. I think it's a pretty good cartoon. For some reason, even though I'm not a sci-fi fan, I tend to like space oriented cartoons, and I also tend to like cartoons with anthropomorphic animal characters (must be the furry in me?just kidding). It's by no means mind blowing, but I think it's a pretty solid, underrated cartoon.

I remember watching this show was very little. All I think that I remember is being scared of a part where one of the bad guys was sucked into a machine.

Animals have been all the rages in cartoons and video games (The VG Mascot Wars come to mind...).

I remember seeing this when I was a kid, and then recently seeing all 13 episodes on Youtube.

I also remember playing the game, which is said to conclude the story after the last episode.

I watched it as a kid, I played the game, and loved it. Now as an adult I own the DVD and still love it.

It was a good little show, neither brilliant nor perfect, but still a fun watch.

This show got a DVD release?! I thought that was unheard of for 13-episode blink-and-you-miss-it cartoons like this.

There's a few "13-episode blink-and-you-miss-it cartoons" that have DVD releases, so it was not a one-off thing.

Unfortunately it looks like it was just a region 2 release and it's currently out of print. :(

There was also a short 3D animation done on Neal Adams website a while back.
