bubbles in my fishes bowl?

ok so recently I got a beta fish (fighting fish) and i have a regular fish bowl, enough room for him to move and everything and at the top of the top every time no matter how many times i change it a huge patch of bubble gather at the top and just stay there then get bigger.. any idea why?

dont wash your fish bowl out with washing up liquid just do it
with a sponge on its own
