Bruno

his characters are designed to play on various ignorances of the people he meets and interviews, with often hilarious results.

i don't think it works quite as well when SBC wheels out the characters when the interviewer and the audience are "aware" that the character is a fake.

the laughs come from the reaction to the characters from people who don't know it is a joke.

in my opinion

I'd just walk up to the counter and ask for a ticket. Worst thing they can do is say no. If you've got an indie cinema near you showing it, that might be a better bet than the multiplexs.

I was gutted when I heard it was an 18!!

When "Borat" came out, I was 14 and a year too young to see it. Now I'm 17 and Bruno is an 18!! I'm a year too young to see it again!!!

I have sent an email to BBFC about it though about how they will be missing their target audience. I have written to them in the past about such matters so expect a quick reply.

saw this last night prefered it to borat to be honest.

the homophobia on display by some of the people is staggering

its not just that though - pushy parents, trendy charities all take a bashing

The clip of him on the Australian show is a bit embarassing, for SBC that is... his accent is everywhere and he isn't really that funny. I will still go to see Bruno but I hope it isn't as bad as some places are making it out to be.

I have seen this and it is the most homphobic, racist, rude, abusive, ignorant film i have ever seen, and it is also one of the funniest, i defy anyone not to at some point not to go, OMG, or put there hanRAB over their faces....

The song at the end...... just listen to the lyrics very carefully.... LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Him whacking his knee on the desk at the start of the interview really seemed to knock him out of character. It did look rather painful though. Although his accent has been a bit suspect in a few interviews he's done. It doesn't feel like Bruno is as fully formed a character as Borat or Ali G were.

I find it weird that he pulled out of Jonathan Ross' show because "he didn't know how to play it". He's done plenty of other interviews since so it just seems a weird excuse.

Looking forward to the film though although I wonder where SBC can go next with making films, unless he creates a whole new character.

it isn't homphobic or racist or anything like that

the film is making fun of people who are those things. i absolutely despair that anyone could not get that..

I know, I've found that out now.

BBFC must not have realised that when they recieved the edited copy.

It just makes me really angry that, as a 17-year-old, I could see this movie in Ireland, Iceland, Australia, America, Portugal and New Zealand but I can't see it here.

It's ridiculous.
