Bruised or Fractured Pelvic Bone

I had a bad fall ice-skating. I feel pressure and pain to the left dorsal side of my pelvis, just a few inches from my lower vertebra. Walking is painful, bending and twisting brings sudden pain, but I can sit without much discomfort. I did this two days ago, should I go to have an x-ray done?

Definately yes!!! I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "dorsal" side unless you are trying to say above rather than below which would be proximal but the "just inches from my lower vertebra" gives me goose bumps! Why didn't you go and get checked when you first fell?
Look what happened to Natasha Richardson, she thought she would be alright when she fell and got hurt skiing. Every one thought she would shrug it off and decided not to see a Dr and she ended up dead in only a few hours. Go see the Dr, even if your case isn't serious, the peace of mind is worth it!

Yes, but Natasha sustained a head injury, not a spinal/pelvic fracture.
Though I do agree, if getting checked out will put you at ease then there's certainly no harm in doing so.

Though for pelvic injuries you would probably be told to get plenty of bedrest and knock back a few painkillers. There isn't really much else they can do, it's a rather akward place, and the only other treatment would be surgery, which is left to very severy injuries from motorcycling and whatnot.

If you do go, get your friends or mum to give you massages, or book you in for one! ;) For "health reasons" of course. Hope you feel better soon, I know uncomfortable hurting your pelvis can be. x
