Springsteen is one artist I really want to run the whole gamut with. The perception of the album BORN IN THE USA is not the image he wanted to portray to the populace. Where the hell do i start though?
 
I don't really like the boss. He doesn't really sing in a lot of his songs he's really good at screaming and shouting with little to no melody involved with soft rock music playing in the background. It's not really my thing.

Yeah, I'm prone to listening to the Boss now and then myself too. Can't say I'm a fan of all his stuff, but Born To Run, Greetings From Asbury Park and Nebraska are all pretty spectacular albums. Any fans of the latter should definitely get hold of his 2006 effort Devils and Dust too - very similar and also very awesome kind of album that.

Yes, from personal experience, I generally dislike middle class middle aged people.

Even then, I generally coin the phrase as a figure of speech, not that I feel everyone in the group fits the mold. Just the attitude as I see it. Bruce Springsteen is an act that garners of their sort of overly mellow middle of the road attitude. Not saying it's bad, just not for me.
 
How often do people use "middle of the road" as a positive thing?

I think you're just missing the point with Springsteen because he's rarely mellow.

The Boss is one of the most polarizing artists on these forums. I hated him for a long time too, but once you have some of the experiences he sings about I think its hard to ignore the power of his work.
 
The Boss is the best. I dont think there can even be a logical argument. He has so many albums, and they are all amazing. I saw him live, and it was by far the best show I have ever seen.
