I just picked up the Born to Run 30th Anniversary box set.
incredible collection, including a lot of live concert footage.

I was just listening to Jungleland, and even after so many listens, it blew me away...what a masterpiece.

what a brilliant songwriter/performer. to The Boss

i found the box set for $40 CAD. considering Amazon has it for $63, I think I got a pretty good deal.

There are some pieces i really liked on Devils and Dust, particularly the title single (Reno, Long Time Coming, Jesus was an Only Son as well). to be honest, i haven't heard too many of his albums, just a lot of his greatest hits compliations and live performances.

You ought to pick up a copy of the new Seeger Sessions. I saw this show in Phoenix/Glendale on 6/3 and was blown away. It's an awesome show. He should be hitting the road again later this fall with an extension of the Seeger Sessions tour and you'd be a fool to be miss him. Every song seems like it's like the grand finale to the show. Really eclectic mix of music - not just strummin' and mumblin' folk crap.

I'm a huge Bruce fan. Love most all his stuff. Haven't seen a decent show last couple of times out to see him unfortunatley because of bad sound. I was unlucky enough to see him at Staples Center several years ago when he opened the arena, and again at Dodger Stadium. Which everyone knows sucks for sound. But he was doing a summer tour of baseball stadiums so it got the call. First time he's ever played it, and most likely the last. Unlucky once again. It sounded like I was listening through ear muRAB.

I really, really like his new stuff. The Seeger Sessions stuff, I mean. I think it's tremedous. Really unexpected yet it makes perfect sense for him right now. Really great.
