Here it goes:

Is there a way to browse usenet pictures (thumbnails)without download them and then choose the ones you want to see (or download)? Can I browse pictures like a web gallery?

Is there a free application (or website) that does that?

This question was probably asked before but I'm having a really hard time finding answers.

The need for that is that there is a lot of crap at the groups. You subscribe a plane grup and end up downloading donkey porn pics...

Thanks in advance and sorry for my lousy english.:frusty:

Whether your viewing the thumbnail or not your still going to be downloading to image.

Any transmission over the internet is downloading (even Googling :O)

There are a few websites and paid services that offer web-based thumbnails of alt.binaries pictures. The binary search engine BinIndex.net used to offer web-thumbnails as a free service, but the website has been down for at least a few weeks. I've seen a few other free ones, so look around. (Most free services I've seen are limited access -- i.e., no porn groups unless you pay)

There are also paid usenet services like Easynews ($10/month) and sonic-news.com ($4/mo) that offer web thumbnails (and a lot more).

Well You can use a normal newsreader. I use Pan to check groups than search for nzbs on indexing site.
But with most, newsreaders, if you click on a post with an image it will show the image so you download one, but if it isn't what you want you don't have to download them all and get the wrong thing.
Just the thing of finding where nzb is from and searching for post after downloading headers.
