Titchou is right, it could be a lot of things. If you are having difficulty breathing to the point that it's interfering with normal activities, you need to get it checked out right away. If you have a regular doctor, try to call him or her. If it gets real bad, go to the ER. Difficulty breathing is one of the things they are there for.

It could indeed be asthma, even if you've never had it before. I developed asthma for the first time just a few weeks ago. I was fine one day, just a little itchy from allergies. I woke up the next day with my chest so tight that just walking down the street made me pant like I was running flat-out! I went to an allergist, and he got me on some great meds.

Or, you might have some kind of infection in your chest. Allergies can cause postnasal drip, which can lead to infections.

Or, it could be something else entirely, that has nothing to do with allergies.

Well, when it first started bothering me i went to the ER, they did a EKG and an XRay, they said all was fine with them but the doc. gave me Amoxicillin for bronhcitis, but ive been on them for 6 days now and i haven't experienced an relief of symptoms really. but also, can you have Bronchitis/Asthma without an cough??

and another thing, i have sore throat, headache, hot when i wake up, and just ache everywhere. I think its just Bronchitis without the cough, i mean that's what the doc said.. but i just don't know!

Those other symptoms do sound like you are sick with bronchitis or some kind of respiratory infection.

However, not all infections respond to amoxicillin. If you've been on it for over a week and no improvement, it might mean you need a different treatment.

Well, from what i have been told, anti biotic only help if the infection is caused by bacteria.. And like i said, the ER checked me out with Xray and Ekg and didn't find anything serious... So im pretty sure i have Bronchitis, but im also not sure because i do not have the cough often associated with it.. can you have it without the cough?
