Brokencyde

I disagree. This band doesn't even make their own beats. They just layer their premade hooks with ****ty vocals and then act like they are the hottest **** around. My friend went to their concert and said probably 3 people clapped when they were done with their set because they sucked that bad live. If a musician can't even play their own music live I lose a lot of respect for them.

...i won't even lie, on the 'PUT YO CLIQUES UP!! WHAT!!' part i started noddin' my head a little....but then he bust out with a loud 'AHHHH!!!' and i cracked the hell up and turned it off.

I agree that it's stupid to sit and bitch about how terrible a band is or how people could ever listen to them. I can also see why the thread was made and I'll go as far as saying I relate to the original poster. I'm eighteen and I have met tons of people who listen to Brokencyde. Usually it's some insecure kid dressed up in bright colors and poofy hair to look exactly like their schoolmate clones so they can feel better about themselves. I've never met one who knew any banRAB that take longer to grow on you then The Killers do, which brings me to two points.

A) For me, It's infuriating at times to see hollow music being widely accepted and bought by the barrel load by the mass of emotionally bent teenagers who haven't found drugs or a click that they can be more free to find/be themselves in instead of listening to music I assume doesn't take them anywhere. Especially when there is so much more out there that those kiRAB could latch onto that would be able to grab them at a deeper level. It's just sad that Brokencyde makes millions from them paying to get ripped off of their individuality- usually because their insecure, young, and in high/middle school.

B) Looking back at past generations it feels like today is more hollow, but I doubt it is. If there are stupid clicks today, there were stupid clicks thirty years ago. Also, Brokencyde doesn't hurt my ears. It's very easy to listen to, like Lady Gaga or a good Killers song (not Brittney Spears). Problem is it gets really boring really fast and doesn't provoke anything aside from bobbing my head, so I guess I'm not a fan. What do I really if someone else is though? I mean, music today is where it is, and the people who listen to Brokencyde are where they are. The world can't resist outgrowing them forever, and they eventually go away... like a pimple or something.

In conclusion, I relate to you mr.original poster- but my advice is to try and let people do what their doing when their doing it and focus more on what you like.

I'd never heard of this group, and I'm always on the lookout for new music so I thought I'd give it a whirl. I'll admit I watched the video four or five times just trying to make sense of it. I also turned the sound off, because I just couldn't deal with all that screaming. I'm not sure why it happened, but halfway through the song it appeared the band took a completely different route, from "party time" to "I hate girls". Maybe I'm too old for this genre, but it really didn't make a lick of sense to me.
