I had my surgery back in 3/4/08 and three months later i start hearing what sounRAB like a ratchet when i walk. i called my Dr. and told him what was going on, he said" the chance of you breaking a bolt are slim to none". at first there was no pain then within a week after hearing the intial ratcheting sound i started getting severe pain through out my whole body. it would happen when i would move a certain way or when i would lay down and relax my body. the pain is intense but fortunatley it only last for a few seconRAB at a time. the doctor finally saw me and said he wanted to go back into my back and repair the broken bolt. i did not allow this to happen for one i still had not and have not recovered from the first surgery, secondly i just cannot afford to do it, and so on. i asked the doctor what he thought had happened? he flat out stated that "he screwed up" i was like how did you do that? he says that he did not apply enough tension on the hardware. could it have been faulty bolts that caused this to happen? has any of you ever heard of bad bolts that have broken? thanks
