Broken Embraces

Anyone seen this yet? The reviews have generally been good, but saying its not in the same league as stuff like Volver and All About My Mother.

Then again I loved Bad Education and that wasn't the best reviewed Almodovar film either!

Think there's only us 2 Almodovar fans on here.

Not seen BE yet, tried to get my sister to come with me, thinking it'd be more her sort of film, she said 'Is it Spanish?' I said 'Yes', she said 'No' and I said 'philistine'
Guess I'll have to wait for the DVD to come along.

Not seen the reviews for it yet though. TBH, I don't really read reviews for Almodovar films because it's a bit pointless, NO critic is ever gonna mark Almodovar bellow par for fear of themselves looking like a philistine.

This lot did!

Think they were right to. Having been a fan of his - particularly his earlier work - i find found this very disappointing.
