Broken cellphone, 1 year left on contract, can I get an iPhone?

So my Samsung slider phone is about to bite the dust. It automatically turns off all the time even though the battery is charged.

Problem is, I still have one year left on my contract and I wanted my next phone to be an iPhone.

How does this work? I'm with Telus.
