I have broadband for my pc and also have a verizon cell phone. I dont get but 1 maybe 2 bars were i live. What do i need to get better service. Would a repeater work? What is good and what all do u need? Any help would be great. My broad band is a usb port 720. i want it to all be wireless.

Are you using the double USB cable that came with your USB720 aircard? That will increas teh signal strength by using 2 USB slots worth of power.

Check out the Digital Antenna 4KMR-30U or the 4KSBR-50U system. Both of these parts will boost your air card and your cellular phones for your house.

If you're on the Verizon Wireless network, 8 miles really isn't that far.

The new Verizon Wireless Digital Towers (VZWDT) can reach an optimal range from 9-13 miles. They provide peak performance when a customer is within 5-10 miles. Being within 1 mile of this tower provides the same quality of service as you'd get being 13-14 miles away.

Most of their towers have been changed to this new system.

How can I tell if the towers around me have upgraded ? About one month ago, I signed up for Verizon Broadband, brought it home,, and could not get any speed out of it. Wildblue gives me 800-1000 kbps Verizon is 100-200 .
My Wildblue is 89.00 per month and quits in rain or snow.
Everything I have read, seems to indicate, that I need to have at least a pretty fair signal, for any thing to work. That I don't have, Some days cell phone works, but mostly it don't, but I really don't care, about phone service, I still have a land line.
I am probable going to have to wait, for a tower that can reach over the trees, or one on the south side of the house. All though I have heard about a new signal that is not affected by walls, trees or buildings.
