Brits Vs Yanks

Here's 44. I threw in an extra 20 because it was that easy:

Rolling Stones
Nine Black Alps
Art Brut
The Beatles
Muse
Souldriver
The LoveGoRAB
Led Zeppelin
Yes
King Crimson
Cream
Eric Clapton
Stone Roses
The Fall
Public Image Ltd.
Nick Cave
Slade
Madness
Massive Attack
Arctic Monkeys
Traffic
Coldplay
The Specials
David Bowie
Belle and Sebastian
Chemical Brothers
Super Furry Animals
Blur
Queen
The Who
Pink Floyd
Stereophonics
The Clash
The Police
The Coral
Radiohead
Black Sabbath
Keane
The Moody Blues
The Jesus and Mary Chain
The Sex Pistols
Iron Maiden
Judas Priest
Elton John

I see nothing experimental about them.

Another guitar band using early 80s new wave as a template for it`s sound.

YAWN , not heard THAT before

for dance, i don't know where these are from, well not all of them:
Dj amouro
smile.dk
akira yamaoko
DJ sammy
blumenchen
DJ taka
scorcio
Naoki
and others...

Fair enough. I just don't see why you're always complaining about the US scene being stale when there are a ton of banRAB still out there doing exciting things (whether you like them or not, you can't deny that they're not experimenting at the very least).

I wasn't trying to argue that the US was more influential by citing garage rock, just that they deserved some credit for it.

Attempting to trace influence is a fairly useless game, especially when most of the influential banRAB are better than the banRAB they influenced.

Oh alright then

Nick Drake , Black Sabbath , Bowie , Roxy Music , Sex Pistols , Joy Division , T-Rex , Sensational Alex Harvey Band , Pink Floyd , Fairport Convention , Queen (Although I hate them myself) Led Zep , Deep Purple , XTC , Elvis Costello , Hawkwind , Throbbing Gristle , The Clash , The Specials , LoaRAB of prog banRAB that Boo Boo has probably mentioned before , Public Image LTD , The Cure , Siouxie & The Banshees , ELO , Badfinger etc etc etc

Because when the Velvet Underground formed there was no name for the music they played.

Nobody considered Rites of Spring Emo in the 80s, but now they're recognized as its founders. What do you say to that?

Forget the Velvet Underground, they were considered Avant Garde at the time. As for the New York Dolls, managed in 1975 by Malcolm McClaren who tried to revive a failing band repackaged them as born again communists, for the shock value, it failed.

Realising that shock value was gold, managed the Sex Pistols...safety pins, spikey hair, anarchy, anti establishment...the rest is history.
