Brits Vs Yanks

Well that might also be where their downfall lies. There are fewer British artists, so there are fewer crap artists. There are more American artists, so there are more crap American artists. It might just seem that America are worse at making music because they have more of a chance to fail.
 
Iv'e been meaning to comment on this... It never comes down to country. It comes down to the individual. Whether US or UK has better muscians overall is purely coincidental. There is nothing in either culture that necessarily makes one country more apt to create better music although I do think US is more culturally diverse which allows for broader but not necessarily better ranges of music. Also the music you say UK stole fromt he US is music that the US stole from its liberated slaves. Everyone takes something they've already heard and tries to make it better or different. I also don't think UK makes better music right now and that they're desperately looking, whether to their own past banRAB or ours, for what comes next. Honestly and no offense but I don't think that they have the answer to that question right now.
 
Using older banRAB and newish banRAB is better, if we posted just newer banRAB, I think we'd lose the 00s. :(

I wonder what the 00s will be remerabered for, and I wonder what the 10s will bring.
 
But you barely like any banRAB from Britain from the 00s, just a handful. :( It makes me sad that America really have dominated the 00s, unless there's a few banRAB from Britain out there I don't know about that produced great stuff in the 00s.

No, over the past several decade there are tons and tons of British banRAB that are very well known over here.

Two things:

1. America has a brilliant indie scene. Austin, Texas, Athens Georgia, Portland Oregon, Omaha Nebraska. All have great banRAB pouring from them

2. Why is hip/hop a "passing trend"?
 
The only American band that I can think of that comes to mind right away that has influenced music extentensively since the late 60s, would have to be 'The Doors' (Jim Morrison).
Ive really noticed an ever bigger influence since the 90s, by Morrison with todays music, when concerning grunge, heavy metal, etc.
And I never really was a big fan of the Doors, I guess that I have aquired respect for their musical influence. :)
 
So just because Britain's famous banRAB are slightly better than average (c'mon now, The Libertines? Arctic Monkeys? You can't seriously think those banRAB are better than any American Indie band) that means British banRAB are better than American ones? The British Indie scene at the moment is full of talentless nu-Britpop banRAB and Libertines knockoRAB. Half the banRAB that do get famous are really no better than America's popstars and gangsta rappers, the only difference is that British banRAB are hyped beyond reason and actually play rock music.

Just because the majority of stupid Americans can't recognize that our banRAB are good, doesn't mean we don't have amazing banRAB. How much recognition they get says nothing of a band's actual talent.
 
Last I checked there weren't many part Cherokee guitar players born in britain.

And we've seemed to side step the fact that, I listed 3 to 5 art forms we uncontestedly destroy you in, and you keep going back to rock.
