The SPOTY will be chosen on December 13th, but, who do you think should win?

1. Jenson Button - Won the 2009 Formula 1 title, despite finding himself unemployed in the summer.

2. Mark Cavendish - Made the transition from Track Cycling to win 6 out of 20 stages of the Tour de France, finishing 4th overall

Tom Daley - Became a world champion this at the 10m diving board this year, at the age of 15 years and 61 days.

Jessica Ennis - Won Gold in the heptathlon, at the World Athletics Championship in Berlin. Came close to beating Denise Lewis' record British points total.

Ryan Giggs - Football PFA Player of the year this year, at the age of 36. Also won the Premiership and Carling Cup titles with Manchester United.

David Haye - Won the WBA boxing title after defeating Nikolai Valuev in Germany in November.

Phillips Idowu - Finaly lived up to his potential after years of underacheivement to win Gold in the triple-jump at Berlin World Athletics Championships.

Andy Murray - Won 6 tournaments in 2009, including 2 "Top-Tier" Masters, reached rank #2, a record for a British tennis player.

Andrew Strauss - Captained the England and Wales cricket team to victory over Australia in The Ashes, and was named player of the tournament.

Beth Tweddle - Won Gold for a Floor Routine at the World Championships, as well as 2 Golds in the World University Games.
