Britannia High is really good!

As someone old enough to remember the tv series Fame I can say that this is identical, same format and everything. Even down to the scene about having to wear ballet tights was out of an episode of Fame. Marquelle (sp)? even looks like the Leroy! I thoroughly enjoyed it though even if I'm far out of the target age range :o

Me!!
I didn't know it was on today - had recorded it but it didn't register that it was on Saturday!
It's sad, especially as it's probably going to be the last ever ep.

a brilliant episode today, the music is really good! "there's no love in a fight song" heh it is inspired. i am asking for the dvd box set for christmas. i love this show.

IMO, the show was put on in the wrong slot to start with.

Saturday night in between the X Factor shows - surely this would've been the perfect slot for it?? I mean, it ties in with the music theme, unlike Family Fortunes or whatever is on in that space.

Maybe aiming a second series at CITV or at after school audiences would be a better move?

RE the tour: Arlene Phillips said on Loose Women a tour is planned but with some new faces - does this mean a different cast than the series?

I have to agree, I liked that Jez being gay was treated as a normal, accepted part of him rather than the basis for his whole character/storyline. I would have hated them to have gone down the road of his dad and best friend (or at least the person he seems to get on with the most in Britannia High) rejecting him because he was gay. As an aside, the guy who plays Jez is quite cute. :o

This show isn't perfect, it's very corny and cliched most of the time, but I don't think it deserves to be doing so badly in the ratings.

its aforum, i am allowed to voice my opinion and warn others off this garbage, if YOU don't like that then do not go on forums which discuss the merits of tv programmes.

So fresh and different it rips of Fame and High School Musical!

Does anyone remember The Biz from CBBC in the mid to late 90's? That was about a stage school and pissed over Britannia High, it seemed more realistic. Britannia High is too fake and American looking.

Exactly the same as Fame (never missed an episode) probably a story about a different character every week... will be interesting to see how many similarities are used. Seems too staged for my liking Fame in the 80's was better. What channel was the backstage auditions shown didnt see those.
