Brit films

I always liked 'The Blue Lamp' where a kindly copper is murdered by a young Dirk Bogarde who is tracked down and apprehended at Arsenal's football ground. The bit where a cop tells the others down the station "they're onto the ba**ard that killed George Dixon", carries real frisson cos people didn't swear like that in them days (yeah right) and killing a policeman was really not on, though it's much more common now (why I killed 3 on the way to work today).

Even though George Dixon was dead he revived very nicely and starred in Dixon of Dock Green for bloody years.
