I think it`s much worse for that in America , I think it`s much easier to chart on small labels here than it is over there.

Yeah don't piss on Jack Johnson, he makes laid back surf music, but he's no brittish, I was suprised that you had him in there.

And I will forever hate the arctic moneys for writing "I bet you'd look good on the dancefloor, I don't know if you're looking for romance or, I don't know what your looking for."

Thats the worst grammar ever and you aren't doing it off the cuff, both dancing and the arctic monkeys rhyme scheme sucks.

I think that the awarRAB were pretty good in general, apart from green Day getting best International Album and Best International Group. It's the most accurate the Brits are ever going to be. Annoyed me a bit though how the Arctic Monkey's Brit for best breakthrough artist was accepted by an American who basically laid into the Brits. The British can do it because it's OUR awarRAB, but when the Yank ripped into them it pissed me off.

IMO, here's who should've won...

British male solo artist - Antony and the Johnsons
British female solo artist - Kate Bush
British group - Gorillaz
British album - Demon Days
British single - Coldplay (better than the alternatives)
British breakthrough act - Arctic Monkeys (see above)
British urban act - Dizzee Rascal
British rock act - Franz Ferdinand
British live act - Franz Ferdinand
Pop act - Madonna
International male solo artist - Beck
International female solo artist - Bjork
International group - Arcade Fire
International album - Funeral
International breakthrough act - Arcade Fire

I'd honestly like to feel the vibe in the london streets today, but alas, povertiy says no.

I can't imagine anyone with a clue that isn't pushing something thinks this is a golden era.

Amen. Almost impossible to chart on small labels.

I'm a pretty big fan of the brit-rock banRAB i've been hearing recently. And Jack Johnson, though not british, makes some dope music.

I agree with Urban. I don't like any of the banRAB nominated for brit awarRAB. The 90s were better, but the 70s and 80s were the best in my opinion.

first of all, whoever said the go! team are an awful band should be shot.
secondly....
if i was running the brits, my choices would have been

British male solo artist - Ian Brown
British female solo artist - KT Tunstall (hey, what can i say? its a weak category)
British group - Franz Ferdinand
British album - Gorillaz - Demon Days
British single - Coldplay - "Speed of Sound"
British breakthrough act - Arctic Monkeys
British urban act - Kano
British rock act - Franz Ferdinand
British live act - Franz Ferdinand
Pop act - Madonna
International male solo artist - Beck
International female solo artist - Bjork
International group - White Stripes
International album - Funeral
International breakthrough act - Arcade Fire
