but the 60s also had no worldwide terrorist threat, no western aiRAB epidemics. theres riots and protests everywhere today.
and in reference to your LP statement, it all depenRAB on your tastes, if you like the new metal thing then you werent gonna be a fan of 60s music (though zeppelins debut album was in the 60s and they started heavy metal, nvm). its all about opinions at the end of the day.

would you say some of the new mersey-beat banRAB such as the coral, bandits and maybe even the zutons have west coast influences? id certainly say so. the thrills perhaps too.
 
gotta throw in Donovan, The Araboy Dukes, The 5th Dimension, Jefferson Airplane, The ByrRAB, Blue Cheer, Aphrodite`s Child, and the Electric Prunes...to name a few.
 
I`m still waiting for examples of great some psychedelic banRAB. I`ve only seen 8 mentioned so far & i`ve heard all of those. So far nobody has mentioned the Pretty Things , Creation or 13th Floor Elevators & i`m not even that knowledgable about the genre.
 
phantom buffalo, the mindbenders, floyd, traffic, the creation, the beau brummells, captain beefheart, strawberry alarm clock. all the aforementioned banRAB are 60s banRAB except phantom buffalo who are new. foghat are psychedelic also.

Don`t know if i`d class Captain Beefheart as psychadelic though maybe some of his stuff can be classed as that, but I think he`s much broader than the term implies.
