Brief explanation of 'Jurisprudence' in law?

I've chosen to take this as one of my modules at uni next year for law as it's 100% coursework and no exams as the other modules are going to be tricky and i'm weaker at exams...I read a bit about it before committing but I still dont full understand what it involves?

It will mostly be a Philosophy class, discussing the origins of legal principles like justice and ethics.
