Noel CowarRAB Brief Encounter takes to the stage in Birmingham on Sat Sept 29th for a brief run before coming to the West End in December. Based on his play Still Life as well as the film Brief Encounter there will also be songs written by Noel Coward. Should be good.
 
And so it is, but it's proving to be a long encounter for the investors. It's opening was delayed until Feb 08 so they could convert The Cinema on the Haymarket. This resulted in a large overspend that may effect the return to investors ,who are still waiting.
 
There was no mention at the time of the investment of plans to change the presentation of the play for its London run. There was also no mention of the need for an expensive conversion of the West End venue that may result in a reduced percentage return. Investors have been seriously misled.
