What is the difference?
how does this factor into buying an amp?
Which is better to do?

bridged just means your taking an amp that has more than one channel (mono) and combining them. if you have a 2 channel amp that puts out 200 watts per channel you can wire the two together in some cases and it will give you more power...which will be more than 200+200. in my ex it will probably give you around 500 watts. For subwoofers the most popular amp is the mono amps cause they are simpler and designed for just that. but if you can find an amp that puts out the same as a mono amp and its cheaper than you can get it. if it were me id get a mono amp for sure
