Was just watching this on BBC1 never heard of this but glad I watched it.
Was a very sad film to.

Yes I didn't know how it ended when I first watched it so the ending was a real surprise.

I wonder how many people who have watched it for the first time today are crying?

I watched it.I read in my tv guide that it was an excellent film.Warned that it took a very dark turn.
But i never expected that.It was very sad.

Apparently the author wrote the book to explain that type of situation to her children.

I think it does it in a very good way.

How time flies eh?.It's one of the few films i've seen that has really got under my skin.Very underrated,and rarely shown.
Maybe they'll put it on again this Boxing Day?.Won't be a dry eye in the house.

i never expected it

My hard-bitten 16yo son watched it on my recommendation, and he got all all his mates at school to watch it, and they all found it equally disturbing. They don't HAVE to watch shoot em ups do they?

i fully expected her to be alive in Terabithia - but there you go - that's life isnt it? I forget the names but the boy and his sister made up at the end, so there was a happy ending, if you think about it.

Lovely film though


Try The Notebook also - more adult than this, but also very rewarding

If you look at the trailer it's so deceptive as to the kind of movie it is. Especially when it says from the same people that bought you The Chronicles of Narnia.
I bet there were lots of upset kiRAB leaving the cinema after this film.
