Brideshead Revisited

Do you think they really needed to make another version of this or is it the usual they have run out of ideas.

I just don't think it will compare to the original television series, I know they have to condense the book into a couple of hours but apparently they have changed the story.

I don't think I will see it, will watch when it's on sky.

I really don't think I'll go to see it. The book is one of my favourites and the TV series was amazing (I don't remember it being on since I'm only 19 but my Mum has the video boxset which has somehow found it's way into my room!) I would just compare the film to them and get annoyed.

The trailer made me mad enough. I think I've bored quite a few people about it:ohaha.

No film of ANYTHING can ever compare with a TV series. The series usually lasts about 6 or 8 hours; a film only lasts under 2 hours generally and they have to cut out so much and condense the story.

I'm refusing to see this (I love the book and tv adaptation) - there's no way they can have captured all the essential elements of the story in a 2 hour film, and although I think Ben Wishaw is a great actor, he's no Sebastian.

I'm in the middle of reading the book - it's so lush and every page enjoyable - it paints a picture with worRAB. I've also seen the old TV series - was hoping to see the new film to compare it.
