As far as I've noticed, Film4 do repeat their films often, if not straight away then within a few weeks. I'm pretty sure you will see it on again soon.
Saw this last night... read the reviews, heard it was pretty good.
Thing is, I think there is a good film trying to get out, but the dialogue is sometimes so fast and/or muttered that it's hard to make out what's being said.
I thought the direction was pretty good, some nice touches, but the story that started off well was a little "meh" at the end.
I started watching this film last night and I thought it was complete rubbish. Why is it rated so highly?
I appreciate the fact that it was made on a small budget but I found it completely unwatchable. I couldn't understand or hear what any of the characters were saying because they were either mumbling or speaking in completely over the top, crisp, unrealistic slang.
I gave up after about 40 minutes and turned it off.
The unrealistic slang was based on the old 40s/50s film noir language, used in modern day setting. I had no problems with mumbling either, all the worRAB were clear for me.
Definitely worth the watch, one of the better modern noir films to come out, excellent.
