Breathing problems and back pain?

Sorry for the serial posting, but lately I've noticed I've been having some difficulties breathing that are a little more intense than my usual issues. I kind of feel like I have a light pressure on my chest, but I feel like the area of my back directly behind my chest is getting sore. It's not horrible pain, but just kind of feels like a small cramp and I need to crack my spine.

I'm not sure why this is. It's nothing I can't handle, but it's weird. A bit of moderate exercise seems to ward off the pain and pressure and takes the edge off the breathing problems. It confuses me that physical activity actually improves the condition.

I don't know if this is sounds more like a heart problem, a lung problem, or just maybe anxiety, so I placed it in this forum. The breathing problems themselves have been around for a few years with no explanation, and occasionally I have a day where it really gets bad and I need to lie down. But why the back tenderness?
