Breaking News: Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson Quits?

the chosen one

MMAScoops.com is reporting that former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson has quit the promotion. He and UFC President Dana White had been going back and forth over the last couple of weeks due to Rampage taking the role of B.A. Baracus in the new A-Team movie, and apparently that was the straw that broke the camel's back.

"I'm done fighting," Jackson stated. "I've been getting negative reviews from the dumb ass fans that don't pay my bills or put my kids though college. So I'm hanging it up. I'm gonna miss all my loyal fans but hopefully they'll follow me to my new career & I will gain more loyal fans along the way."

Rampage noted his frustrations with how he's been dealt with by the UFC over the years and has apparently had enough.

It would be sad to see the sport lose another talent because of Dana's immature behavior. Yes, granted he has a million/billion dollar enterprise going right now, but he treats people like idiots (and gets away with it). That's why Tito Ortiz was at odds with him for so long. Tito eventually wanted the big paycheck again, so he ate some crow and came back. It's that same "I need to be all-powerful and in control" attitude that has kept Fedor from signing.
