Matt Hardy underwent his abdominal surgery on July 2nd, according to the UK Sun. He’s expected be out of action for eight-to-ten weeks.
Although Hardy has yet to comment specifically on the surgery, he did update his Myspace page the day before surgery: "The Hurdle awaits. And I'm ready to cross it, jump it, or plow over it. Either way, I'm excited to enter into a new, better, chapter of my life and career. [..] Get ready, cause when I re-debut on Smackdown, nothing's gonna stop me in the ring or in life."
This injury is a tough break for Hardy, as he had just made a full recovery from his broken hand.
