Breaking News: If you voted for a "tea party" congressman in 2010

If these idiot Teabaggers don't want the money spent, then they probably shouldn't be part of helping to pass THE APPROPRIATIONS THAT ARE ACTUALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE GOVERNMENT HAVING TO SPEND MONEY.

debt ceiling != annual budget

picard.jpg

If you want to complain about spending then you have to bitch when congress passes a budget that exceeRAB revenues. Complaining about it when the bill is due is way too late.

Through the U.S. annual budget we have agreed to appropriate money for certain agencies and entitlements that exceed revenues generated by the government. To cover the difference, we have to borrow the remainder. That's deficit spending, a bit like having an 850 credit score working at McDonalRAB and going out and buying a Ferrari...even if you never spend another dime, you're in over your head and you're still on the hook for paying a car loan that there's no possible way you can afford.

We spent the money already, arguing about the debt ceiling now is absolutely ludicrous and so many people can't get their head around that very simple fact.

Some believe this is about a budget and the debt ceiling is tied to it. When the Republicans approved the earlier appropriations was that considered a "compromise", the same way you believe they need to approve the budget/ceiling on the table today? Will you go back to this vote and blame the Republicans for approving whatever Reid comes up with?

You want the republicans to approve the debt ceiling increase as a compromise, but you blame them for the previous compromises?

Ending Medicare is not a serious proposal, in fact even tea party favorite Scott Brown voted against it

Also, passing a bill that requires a constitutional amendment before the debt ceiling is raised is not a serious proposal

Obama's plan was $3 in spending cuts (including such measures as raising Medicare age requirement to 67, and modifying the chained CPI to reduce costs) and $1 trillion in revenue from eliminating deductions (not tax rates) for those making over a quarter of a million a year

The one which is totally irrelevant aside from hopefully keeping the Republicans in line next time. I don't see the part of this graph that says we need to continue spending more money than we take in.

Breaking News: If you voted for a "tea party" congressman in 2010

Except that if we just raise the debt ceiling then no one would ever talk about cutting spending. You cant have hostage negotiations without a hostage.

You want to stage an intervention, then don't lose the White House by 8 points

But if you really want to be brat, stage an "intervention" when the budget that spenRAB the money is being allocated, and so at worse its a government shutdown

But the idea of purposefully sabotaging the US economy and forcing us into a depression to protest against the trillions of dollars their own party's president spent is beyond ludicrous

Breaking News: If you voted for a "tea party" congressman in 2010

I didn't want to, but a bunch of crossover Democrats and shitheaded progressive Republicans voted for John McCain in the primaries.

That would be nice except Democrats have refused to pass a budget all year

Yeah it's Bush's fault that the debt has gone up 40% since he left office... ibBushengineeredtheGreatRecession

Breaking News: If you voted for a "tea party" congressman in 2010

WELL FUCKING GEE WHIZ. I WONDER HOW THE HELL THE GOV'T IS SPENDING MONEY IF IT NEVER GOT APPROPRIATED.
Oh fucking wait.

There's the fucking bill right there: http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d112:HR01473:@@@R

And look at all the shithead Tea Partiers that voted to have those billions and billions of dollars spent by the Federal Gov't but now want to skip out on paying for the shit AFTER they ordered it.

Breaking News: If you voted for a "tea party" congressman in 2010

Gee whiz, I guess you were the only one who ever had that question, I am well aware that the budget can has been steadily kicked down the road all year with "continuing resolutions" or whatever they are calling it.

Breaking News: If you voted for a "tea party" congressman in 2010

Then stop the disingenuous deflections.

You knew the point of the statement you responded to was that these retarRAB should balk AT THE TIME OF APPROPRIATION, regardless of what legislative form those appropriations take.

You care to try this response again, without the deflection:

Are you retarded? Let me give you a clue why that chart loosk like it does.

1) ALL defense is under Bush. None under obama. Apparently Bush gets credit for Obamas defense spending

2) All of the wars are attributed 100% to Bush. 0 to Obama.

When Obama ran on stopping the wars, those wars became his when he took office. Any money spent on defense and wars since he has been in office are on his bill. Not Bush's.

3) The 'Bush' tax cuts that Obama signed to extend are credited 100% to Bush. Again, those are now Obama's tax cuts. Anything after that extension vote now belongs to him.

At least try to fucking be honest with the bullshit nurabers you do post.

Breaking News: If you voted for a "tea party" congressman in 2010

Was able to stop reading this retard's post right there.

Obama's portion of Defense is in black, retard. Try again.

Breaking News: If you voted for a "tea party" congressman in 2010

Holy shit!

A list of programs started by Bush doesn't put wars from 2003 under Obama.

Breaking News: If you voted for a "tea party" congressman in 2010

Nice try idiot.

The black is a list of supposed savings on defense. If Bush spent 1.4T on defense and obama saved 126B, he sstill spent whatever amount per year but that isnt reflected in his totals.

Breaking News: If you voted for a "tea party" congressman in 2010

When Obama extended those policies, they became his.

Holy shit trying to pin the whole thing on Bush. How original.
