because Hezbollah has no reason for existance outside of the destruction of Israel. If they were to accept a ceasefire, it would only benefit Hezbollah in getting more aid from Iran and Syria and then starting all over again.

He doesn't even dare use the word peace, same as Hamas. They call for "hudnas" or temporary cease fires, with no further negotiations or peace for Israel. Every time Israel agrees, they stop firing so as to regroup, rearm, and then attack again. Then the next time they call for the exact same cease fire with no peace in sight. The Arab Armies (Egypt, Jordan, Syria, etc) did this same thing repeatedly in wars and each time Israel made peace they simply regrouped and attacked again. Eventually Israel will learn from its mistakes and finish the job.
