so where or how do we find out what goes on in Nokia World?

I reeeally want to know when the e7 will be released. So it's now between that and the N9 with meego. Nice!

I too want to know about this. I believe GSMArena will have some information. Nokia probably will setup a website with the details.

In the good old days hay days of N85 and E61/i this forum was really active. You could get response to a post within hours. Since then Nokia fall way behind in compition with RIM, Android, iPhone (bad management) and most people who were excited about Nokia phones moved on to other platforms (mostly to Blackberry 9700/9000 and some to Android, Crackberry forums are just as active as HoFo-S60 used to be in 2005/6). Symbianguru used to cover Nokia events in details. But s/he left Nokia. So, I don't know who might cover and review this year's Nokia World.

I still use E61i and sometime hang around in this forum. Hopefully someone will post the details.

I will be at Nokia World this year. I'll be posting on my blog about the big announcements and I'll try to get on here too. I'll snap some hands-on pictures too.

Maybe the release plan remains on schedule but the announcement is delayed until November 15? That'd quash all those complaints of the timespan between the N8's premature announcement and release.

well as long as they keep the end of year release date, i can wait a little longer for the announcement. I've read complaints where some folks think that some nokia devices were released too soon and could have used some more tweaking in the software/UI department. With this in mind...i rather they take their time :) . I'm also very surpriced we havent seen much 'leaked' info of the n9 (or e7 for that matter) in comparison to the n8.

Speaking of UI...not sure if you guys saw these pix of the meego UI:

If that ends up being true, then they need to be smacked. At least put the latest beta FW device on display just to get the buzz going.

That would be a much bigger failure than their recent "Mystery event"...

It's interesting that HTC is also having a competing device show roll-out in London on the same day, and Microsoft just announced their WP7 device roll out about a week after the release of the N8.

It looks like the mobile world battle ground is about to get bloody, and HTC, Nokia and Microsoft are slipping on their brass knuckles.

I mean they all did that on purpose right?
Just like I don't believe the whole iphone 4 "leak" either. It pretty much coincided with the announcments of the Incredible and Evo 4G. Gee what a coincidence huh. :/
