...old Senate seat? :)? The news just came out today that Lisa Madigan (D) isn't running for the Senate, which would've clearly kept it in Democratic hands.

Then, a few minutes later, we get this:

Mark Kirk's pretty popular in the state, and I think he's the only Republican who could clearly win, at any rate.

And I'm a pro-choice Republican, so this is icing on the cake, for me :)))
 
Mark Kirk's pro Iraqi War stance will help him like it helped Sen. McCain's 2008 race. And his pro-Bush voting record like Sen. McCain's is not good for him.

U.S. Troops supported Sen. Obama 6:1 over Sen. McCain.

Personally enjoyed the defeat of Republican Jim Oberweis to Bill Foster to replace Hastert's seat.

And watched Foster smoke Oberwies in his re-election in a supposedly safe republican district.

In IL there was no safe republican distrct.

In 2008 there was no safe republican area in the U.S..

I don't know anything about Kirk but, I wouldn't wast anytime working for the people of Illinois. They don't deserve the effort.
 
One Term Barry won by a stinking 3.1 percent of the popular vote and yet some of these Dems thinks they have a One Party System.

The Democrats are going to lose seats in the next 2010 election and probably lose one house of Congress.
