I understand that under the 2003 law a military member has the right to break a lease when given orders to move.
Does this also cover leaving for boot camp, and how far in advance does it cover? My boyfriend is leaving for boot camp at Parris Island on March 1st (he has a copy of his orders and all that good stuff). Could he terminate the lease (with the 30 days notice) now? Or does it have to be a set time before his ship out date of March 1st 2010?
I'm sorry if this is a dumb question. This is all new to me.

Also where would this leave his 2 roommates? Does this mean that their part of the lease is terminated too, or will they have to pick up the monetary slack?
