Ok i dont get it how edward brings a whole lot of people in like chapter 21 and 22 in his house to do something to the volturi??
why is he doing that?

Because the volturi are coming to get Renesmee because they think that they made her a vampire. Edward wants witnesses so he can explain to the volturi his story
 
carlisle and the others went around the world to find vampires they know to go to their house. carlisle and the group were the ones to recruit vampires while edward and bella were the ones to welcome them. the volturi wanted to kill little reneesme because vampire kids should be extinct 'coz they cause they still can't control theirselves. edward and bella need a whole lot of their species to stand up as a witness and prove to the volturi that their child isn't dangerous and that it's not just a vampire and that it keeps growing.
 
The people that come to the house are members of other covens from around the world.
They are there to help the Cullens stop the Volturi from doing anything to Renesmee.
 
They're all getting together to discuss whether the new body glitter from Bonne Bell is better than the stuff they used from Hot Topic, and to emo-angst for a while.
