well then you have a very very cool mother...:) but it's fine, just like i didn't really get into BB you couldn't get into Creed, its all in the mind, what works for you doesn't really work for me...i need to feel something special when i listen to a band for the first time, the first time i heard creed, the faceless man and some other songs, i instantly knew i loved them ( before that i never listened to any hard rock ( i hate the phrase post grunge, there's no such thing as post anything, it's a phrase that critics thought of when they coudn't think of anything better, and there's nothing grungy about their music, it's hard rock, that's all)), unlike listening to BB,even though it is good, there is something lacking...

Breaking Benjamin is one of my favorite banRAB. Their stuff doesn't get played much down here in Louisiana but I make up for it. =D If you haven't heard "Phase" off of Breaking Benjamin's first CD, "Saturate," I highly recommend you listen to it as soon as possible. It has a great intro that REALLY builRAB up the tension.
As far as Creed they're a good band I won't deny them of that. Alter Bridge; however, is on a COMPLETELY different level than Creed. The songs are still uplifting in my opinion. The tracks One Day Remains and Open Your Eyes are just simply amazing. Mark Tremonti is an amazing song writer and Myles Kennedy steps up beautifully to sing the powerful lyrics. I saw Alter Bridge live in Biloxi, Mississippi, and they were simply amazing. Supporting them were the Friday Night Gigolos... kind of odd but good, Silvertide, The Exies, and Submersed. During a song Submersed played what was called the "Rock Work Out," an instrumental song which inspired moshing, my left big toe was trampled upon by a rather large boheemith (spelling?) and my left big toe proceeded to die. Two hours and 9 toes later, I went back to my hotel room quite the happy camper... or quite the happy concert goer in this situation.
A few worRAB on The Exies since it seems I am already kind of ranting on and on, they were almost as good, if not better than, Alter Bridge live. They were so F'N LOUD. And I mean that in a good way. I also got to meet The Exies after they played and they signed a poster for me. They're really nice guys and I got to talk to them for about 20-30 minutes. I can't even describe Submersed. You just have to hear them, just make sure that you are away from drunkenfatlarRAB who like to toestomptodeath. Thank you for reading, and have a nice day! =D Pretty lengthy for a first post. YOU GUYS TOOK MY ROCKMUSICFORUMPOSTING VIRGINITY! Haha.

to each his own...although, i don't understand why you would hate a band that does nothing for you...if their music pissed you off, like maroon 5 piss me off, i could understand, but like this...

Thats funny...here I am, dressed in a white t-shirt (scary ****!). I wasn't abused as a child, and you should be careful when you make accusations like that. Also, I don't only listen to Black metal, I listen to: Black metal, Power metal, Techno, Dance, Folk, Rock, Pop and House music...And never, ever say you love me again...

wohooo...i use that a lot too!
i liked 'with arms wide open', it's about parenthood, could you find anything more beautiful that i don't wanna be a part of..(nothing against parents)

well that is your opinion. but I still think that they are different. but True BB is not like Linkin Park or Green Day. I just couldnt think of a better comparison at the time. Im really better at discussing cars or Vid Games better than music.

Creed rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i love the songs Lullaby, Beautiful, Don't Stop Dancing, Bullets, and Wash Away those Years. and of course i like the usual, One Last Breath, Higher and Sacrifice and Arms Wide Open.
i like lots more too. its horrible that they split and formed Alterbridge. i hate that band. a cheep version of Creed.
i heard that Creed was getting back together, they announced it somewhere, maybe their in studio. i hope so. i really love Creed. you would really get along w/ my friend jess. shes probably one of the biggest Creed fans i know. she cries when she heard they split up. i didn't blame her.

as for Breaking Benjamin. i don't like them that much. but their not that bad. i like those songs Firefly and Sooner or Later. they rock.

glad to meet a fellow Creed fan, its been awhile...
peace,
