Breaded Fish Fillets?

My son likes the frozen breaded fish filets that you buy in the store, however they seem to be kinda mushy inside...Is this normal? Is it because I didn't cook them long enough?
I am baking them in the oven for the length of time directed---Do I need to cook them longer---is it better to fry them? Does this happen to anyone else?
 
Well, exactly how are you cooking it? Frying? baked?

Since it's breaded, I think broiling, frying and baking are the only options for it. If it wasn't breaded I'd recommend steaming it...
 
Yeah they are always kinda like that. What I do is leave them out like 20 minutes before you cook them so some of the water can hopefully be absorbed (I put a paper towel over it) And cook it about 3 mins extra
