Ah, better not take any drugs first. Take care of your food and have enough rest. Go out for sunshine and check your work area. Do not sleep where there are wires running through one meter near you. Have enough exercise.

And you better check your tongue, too. What abnormal signs do you see? These signs can tell you what you lack.

Why don't you buy recently published books? They can help you. There are doctors who write on how to cope with illness the natural way. Just take note of the copyright year to make sure you are buying fresh info.

Oddly enough I have had this happening to me the past few days. Kind of stopped me in my tracks. It is like a brain or scalp shiver. For me I think it is just below this skin and travels just a little ways across my head. It is a creepy crawly feeling. I tend to think it is part of my stress and anxiety or my low thyroid and hormonal changes. I hope it is not serious for eithor one of us. I have had it before and it went away.

Hang in there! Try not to stess ok! I get it too.

The thyroid is one of the largest endocrine glands in the body. This gland is found in the neck below the thyroid cartilage
The thyroid controls how quickly the body burns energy, makes proteins, and how sensitive the body should be to other hormones.

Brain shivers? I've been having these too. I think it is more related to hormonal disorders. They say, when you cannot tell what's happening to you, it could be more of hormonal imbalance. Rule out this one by sleeping well.

I would not right away be taking any form of medication as the more you cannot tell what's happening to you. Sleep well and eat proper foods foremost and listen to your body.

Hey guys I am new to this site and I have a big question to answer:

I have recently been diagnosed with Anxiety Disorder and I also have a Mild Right Thermoidal Sinusitis. Now for the past 2 months I had sweaty palms, fast heart rate, light headedness, pressure on the head, couldnt sleep or sometimes stay asleep, dizzyness and a couple of other things which have led to me being diagnosed with Anxiety Disorder BUT there was one other thing I had been feeling along with all of those other symptoms and that is the Brain Tremors/Shivers.

So, my question is, what could they be as I am still getting these shivering brain feelings and I have just began to take anti-depresants for the anxiety and my anxiety has been fine and all of the other symptoms have gone but the brain shivering/tremors are still there please help as no one has any answers for it and the CT Scan has come up clear apart from the Mild Right Thermoidal Sinusitis.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE HELP AS THIS IS REALLY SCARING ME AND IM STARTING TO THINK IT COULD BE SOMETHING VERY SERIOUS SUCH AS MY BRAIN SIZZLING OUT OR DIEING OR A BRAIN INFECTION OR TUMOR DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THESE BRAIN TREMOR/SHIVERS COULD BE AND HAVE YOU HAD THEM WITHOUT BEING ON MEDS OR COMING OFF MEDS OR WHAT IS YOUR OPINIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:(:confused::(:confused::(:confused::(:confused::(

There are many things that can cause us these brain shivers. Low thyroid is one. But if you treat your low thyroid, it might lead you to hyper.

I've been taking seaweed extracts for these shivers. They can help but there must be a time to stop.

Could you describe the brain tremors in more detail?

Is it shivery sensation from temple to the top of your head or all over? An internal shaking (head feels like it's moving but it's not) associated with momentary dizziness?

the way you are typing. definitely seems like you have some anxiety.

you may think seeing a neurologist will give you a relief. but trust me, you wont believe them when they tell you that you are ok.

you are suffering from anxiety. tremor can happen from anxiety AND anti anxiety meds as well. did they prescribe any benzo's? you might benefit from one greatly just to get your mind at ease until anti depressants take in full effect.

after thinking i had tumors, heart defects, blood disorders, 6 ER trips, tons of doctor visits... its all anxiety!

I did a little research on this. maybe this could help.

The brain tremors are caused by excessive activity in the areas of the brain that control muscle activity. The key damage in the disease is the loss of a specific group of nerves that control muscles, so most therapies have focused on replacing this missing activity. But researchers are reporting success with using gene therapy to rewire the brain to work around the lost nerve cells.

The idea behind the new therapy comes from the recognition that the missing nerves take part in a complex web of both stimulatory and inhibitory connections that, combined, regulate muscle activity. A key player in that network is a structure called the subthalamic nucleus, which sends stimulatory signals on to other areas of the brain. In people with Parkinson's, this structure receives fewer inhibitory signals and becomes overactive, triggering tremors.

well this is just an update, I am still having the shivering/tremors under my skin on my right side of my head or inside of my head on the right side I have had enough of it I dont know what to do as I have said my CT Scan came up clear apart from Siniusitis and all of my bloods have been fine so I dont know what else to do or what it could be, I want to see a neurologist but it cost a couple of hundred dollars guys I am so scared that it could be something and it seems to happening more yet all of my other "anxiety" symptoms have gone completely(and yes I am on anti-depresents which could have made them go away) BUT these shivers started 2 weeks before the drugs PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE NEED MORE HELP

Hey thanks for replying it is like it is shivering in the inside of my head like when you are cold and you shiver but in the inside of my head and it is on the right side only and starts from either the middle right or the bottom right and carries on up to the top of my head and stops and there is no dizziness or anything afer it happens and this usually last for 20 seconds at the most

Oh also I am soooo glad that im not the only one and as I said my ct scan came up fine and my local doc thinks everything is fine im just glad to know im not the only one and YES hope we are both fine keep me up to date with the shivers will ya lol I hate feeling alone on this its the most scariesst feeling for me

It's a nerve, your shiver travels along the nerve path. The medical term is paresthesia, in the hands and feet it's referred to as "pins and needles" but on the head and scalp, full of nerves and sensitive blood vessels, it feels softer, like shivers or tingling. It's usually nothing scary but if the shivers move into your face, or become painful, tell your doctor immediately. It could be the beginning of Bell's Palsy or shingles.

High levels of adrenaline in the body from the chronic stress of anxiety wears you down, lowers your immune system, elevates inflammation and can cause even more problems with brain chemistry, resulting in more anxiety and depression. It's a vicious circle. It can also cause gastroparesis (slowed digestion) and all the troubles that bad digestion brings.

Make sure you're getting all your B-vitamins, they're important for nerve health and are often lacking in people with chronic illness of any kind. I take a B-vit mix just for chronic stress, Naturemade Stress B Complex.

I just remembered - I got weird head shivers years ago after quitting smoking, I had them everyday for months. They seemed to start in my sinus then move to the top and down the back of my head. It was kinda creepy feeling.

Brain Zaps are a withdrawal symptom of anti-depressants and/or benzos (Valium, Ativan, Xanax) it feels like electricity, popping or exploding, and is accompanied by nausea, vomiting and headache.

hey thanks for your help hopefully it is nothing to worry about and its just stress

does anyone else have any ideas on what this tingling is:

its always and only on the right side of my head
its a tingling shivering feeling
there are no after symptoms once its finished
it starts from the bottom of my head goes to the middle top
lasts for about 20 seconds
I get this feeling 3 times a day sometimes
I was getting these tingling shivering feelings in my head before I started on anti-depressants

All drugs have side effects. You can study your body better by taking no drugs at first, taking enough rest and eating properly. It is better to cope with your problems through other ways the natural way.

You will know if you have thyroid problems if you find it hard to swallow. Feel your neck for lumps.

Hello, Mahuika?

I wouldn't have any idea.

May I ask how old you are?

What are most of your activities? What is your body frame? Are you stout? Things like that, please let me know.

thanks heaps for another reply gawd Im just soo scared its scary and its driving me insane I just want it to go away I had been having these shivering tingling feelings before the anti-depresant that I am taking so I dont think it is that....do you think that maybe I should go off the anti-depresant and see how I got then and see if the tinglings stop as before I went on the anti-depresants(wether it is the anti-depresants making it worse or not) I would only get these feelings in my right side of my head every 3 days and now its every day 5 times atleast?
